My name is Fernando Enrique Ziegler. I am currently an undergraduate
college student at The University of
Texas at Austin majoring in
Physics. In Austin, I work under the guidence of Dr. Manfred Fink
in Physics and Dr. Philip
L. Varghese in Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics. The
current study is of conformers for both n-butane and
glycene using absorption spectroscopy with tunable diode lasers.
On a personal note, I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and lived in Mexico
for a few years. I have been in the United States ever since I was ten
years old and have lived in Texas ever since. I graduated from
Sam
Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas (near Houston) and I attended
Stephen F. Austin State University
for a few years before transfering to UT-Austin.
For the summer of 2001, I was accepted in the
Research Experience for Undergraduates Program at State University of
New York at Stony Brook. My advisor for the summer is
Dr. John
Noé. This is the webpage that I will have for my research
here at SUNY at Stony Brook.
