Who Am I?

I have always had a passion for knowing how the world
works. I've observed and experimented with many things in
my life, and I strive to have an understanding of those
things. One person who is very influential on how I feel
about the scientific world is my grandfather. He has always
inquired about my science courses since elementary school.
He was always willing to help me with any type of project
that I might have had.

Science will always play a crucial role in my life. I hope
to graduate Stony Brook with a B.S. degree in Clinical
Laboratory Science. I feel that I would be very proficient
in that field of medical science, as well as spark my
interest for laboratory work. That type of diligence in the
laboratory was instilled in me through my numerous years on
the Science Olympiad team. My teammates and I would spend
hours after school until our experiment worked perfectly,
we never settled for "close enough."

When I am not in class or in a laboratory, people can find
me outdoors. My passion for observation continues into the
natural world. Other than my love for hiking, I enjoy
playing my violin and working at my bead craft.
