I was born in Manhattan on November 3rd, 1981 and eventually moved to
Buffalo, NY until the age of five. At five I moved back to Manhattan
and lived mostly in Greenwich Village and the Tribeca area of lower
Manhattan. In high school I did not like many of the subjects and I
was unsure where I was going with my education and future. I became
very interested in school, though, after a class in basic chemistry.
This class was a real turning point in my life because it not only
sparked my interest in the sciences, it really served as a stepping
stone on a path that would carve and shape my entire life; that is
attending college.
Initially I had thoughts of becoming a chemistry major, however after
the introductory sequence I quickly realized that if I majored in this
I would not be completely happy. At this point I was completely
confused as to what to major in and really where I wanted to go with
my future and career. I took an intro physics class on the advice of
an advisor as a "last ditch" option. In the class I learned about
basic physical concepts such as Newtonian mechanics, light and sound.
I was surprised how interested I was in the subject matter and my
fascination only grew with the more physics classes I was exposed to.
The rest as they say is history. I am currently a physics major at
Stony Brook University. I am still not sure which direction I will
follow after school, however I am confident that I will soon find out.
A Few Research Topics of Interest...
I have a few areas that I have always been interested in physics, but
it is rather difficult to take these broad influences and make turn
them into a research project, so here are a few subject that I would
like to learn more about...
Solar Power and Energy | Diffraction
Gratings and Polarizers |
Energy Flux
Densities | Talbot Effect |
Interferometers and Interference |
Electromagnetic Spectrum |
