About Me

I am a math and physics major working on building a magneto-optical trap in the Laser Teaching Center. Previous physics experiments include working on the PHENIX detector at Brookhaven and an experiment on Spatiotemporal Chaos at the University of Maryland. After my PhD or during the course of it, I hope to use my knowledge in physics to contribute to the field of medicine, particulary in neuroscience, which is another major academic interest of mine. My hobbies include guitar, writing, basketball. I enjoy tofu and tomatoes, green, the bands Primus and Alice in Chains, and classical Indian music. My favorite book is Crime and Punishment (and anything else by Dostoyevsky really) and my favorite movies are The Devil's Advocate, Pi, 12 Monkeys, Fight Club, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and Kill Bill.

I attended Stuyvesant High School before Stony Brook, which I entered in Sept. 2001. I was born on October 15, 1983. I will finally be 21 this year...
