I am Rajesh Atluri, a junior at Herricks High School, who someday hopes to be a scientist. I have not pinpointed exactly what field of science I want to go into, but I am definitely inclined to the physical sciences. I like to build stuff in my free time, read about the latest research, and keep up with the world around me. I like to debate about politics, science, ethics, etc. I like to play basketball, and I run track. So far, I have dabled in a few different sciences including neuroscience and materials science. What attracted me to the Laser Center was the desire to have mathematical proof attached to my research. Nevertheless, I feel pretty overwhelmed but simultaneously impressed by the hardcore physics that goes around here. I am looking forward to an enlightening and hopefully creative experience here.
