About Me

I am a junior at Great Neck North High School. I'm involved in various extracurricular activities and have a great passion for science and mathematics. At school, I am a member of the Robotics Club, a captain of the Math Team, and a member of the Academic Quiz Bowl Team. I've participated and done well in many math competitions and a few science competitions. I have been a member of the All-Star Math Team from Nassau County for the last two years, and this year I achieved a perfect score at the New York State Math League Competition. Although I studied Biology in school this year my real passion is for physics, and next year I will be taking AP Physics C at my school.

While I enjoy math and science, I have a few other interests as well. Many people think it's a little weird, but my most favorite hobbies are playing bridge (online, or with three friends) and working on and writing crossword puzzles. I love doing the New York Times Crossword puzzles between classes at school, and I occassionally write puzzles for the school paper. I just recently got into bridge, but I love it and have become addicted to playing at Yahoo Games.

This summer, I'm working at the Laser Teaching Center as a Simons fellow, and I hope to learn about optics, a field of physics that I haven't been exposed to as much as I would have liked.
