About Me
My Name is Eric Kuflik. I was born in February of 1983 and grew up in Woodmere, Long Island. I attended Rambam Mesivta High School, where I was captain of the chess team and a member of the math and basketball team. After graduating from high school, I attended Queens College for two years, and transferred to Stony Brook, primarily because of its physics reputation, in September 2003. Currently I am a junior majoring in both physics and math. In high school, I was always interested in math, but we learned very little about physics besides for one course on the subject. With characteristic scientific curiosity, and a view towards something challenging, physics was a natural place for me to end up. My research focus is on diffraction and interference specifically, and quantum nuclear relativistic mechanics, more generally. My current research habitat is the Laser Teaching Center. I expect to be awarded the Nobel Prize within the next fifty years or so, and possibly an Oscar. Outside of my life as a scientist/disgruntled student, I enjoy the Simpsons, x-box, reading, and sports. I am also an avid poker player.
